- 1c fresh oregano leaves, washed
- 1/4c finely chopped pecans
- 1tbsp olive oil
- 1/2tsp lemon zest
- 1/4tsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/4tsp salt
- Finely chop oregano with a chef knife and mix thoroughly with remaining ingredients
- Combine all ingredients in a small food processor and blend until well-mixed and relatively smooth.
- Serve over pasta, as a dip, or as a sauce in lasagna.
- Substitute any nuts for the pecans
- Substitute 2-3 springs of fresh lemon balm for lemon zest and chop finely with oregano
