Wind's Four Quarters Farm

Biodynamic, Sustainable, and Regenerative Farming for the 21st Century

Blogging Time

The plan I started making for the Farm three years ago is slowly shifting into gear.  I made the decision early this year to start the process of finding and buying land.  I also decided to move back to Idaho (preferably southeast Idaho).

But before I can move and start looking for land, there is one major thing I have to wrap up here in Minnesota: selling the house.

And before I can list the house, there are a number of things that need to be accomplished: the roof needs replaced, the gardens and lawn need to be made “pretty,” and the bathroom needs an overhaul.  The roof was completed in August and I’m down to 80 tasks left out of the 105 that I identified for the gardens and lawn.  I haven’t decided what to do with the bathroom, or how to do it.

In the in-between times, I’m going to start pushing myself to blog regularly.  A number of people/places that are similar to what I plan to do with the Farm do so and it seems to work very well for them, so now I’m going to try to emulate that.  Here’t goes!

The start of making the gardens “pretty:” framing them up with planter wall blocks and pressure-treated cedar-tone lumber. Still a lot of work left to be done.
